The Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies (HELAPCO) is an urban non-profit company founded in 2002 by the most important companies active in the production of equipment, marketing, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems.
HELAPCO is pushing for the rapid and effective development of a healthy and sustainable photovoltaic market, the establishment of the necessary incentives and the removal of existing obstacles.
HELAPCO has contributed greatly to the introduction of guaranteed selling prices of solar energy (feed-in-tariffs), the introduction of special incentives for home photovoltaics, the simplification of licensing procedures and the creation of thousands of jobs in the industry.
HELAPCO represents the domestic market at international meetings and forums, and is a member of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), the Network of National PV Associations (NNPVA) and the European Renewable Energies Federation (EREF).
